Located in St Leonards is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Level 1 Help Desk Support candidate to take on a 3-month contract.


Some of your key accountabilities will include:

  • Providing efficient and effective level 1 help desk support for standard desktop applications, and other approved and installed software on personal computers
  • Preparing and distributing information in relation to access to users across the network or by other means
  • Take ownership and responsibility for assigned queries, issues and requests as first point of contact
  • Manage the on and offboarding of users
  • Troubleshoot technical and networking issues
  • Maintain a rapport with staff by displaying a detailed understanding of their support requirements
  • Monitoring the progress of escalated issues and updating users on status
  • Adherence to IT policies and procedures
  • Working closely with the USA office for the delivery of support services communicating major incidents, planned outages and future operation changes to users of the network



To secure this role the ideal candidate will have:

  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills with experience in level 1 help desk support – You enjoy handling technical difficulties and thrive on assisting users to get them up and running again
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards or similar ERP systems
  • Certificate III or IV in Information Technology or similar
  • IT problem solving skills including the ability to explain solutions clearly in technical and non-technical terms – Not everyone is IT savvy!
  • Organizational skills and the ability to keep accurate work records – You are someone that takes a raised ticket and actions it quickly to get an outcome and reduce down time
  • Switched on, personable and customer-focused in your approach. With a calm demeanour and a solutions-focused attitude, you will be able to hit the ground running


This role will suit someone with at least 1 year of experience in a Level 1 Help Desk Support role who may be looking for a change and happy to take on a 3-month contract with the possibility of extension.

You will support the local team of 10 and escalate any major issues back to the USA office who will be happy to assist you. This is a full time Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm opportunity however if you are looking for shorter days or flexibility, we are happy to discuss your requirements.
