Fast forward to 2014, I was looking for an opportunity to stay within the industry but was feeling
a bit jaded as I was never fully in control of being able to make key decisions. After taking a small
break and having a bit of an epiphany (and a few wines with my sister one night), iPlace Recruitment was
created. We were both looking for the opportunity to do something we love, the way we want to do it.
I feel really lucky to work with my sister who is just as passionate about the business as I am. Couple
that with the support of Kylie Kilbridge, our Operational backbone – going into the office every day is
like hanging out with your girlfriends and honestly never feels like you’re actually working.

I started my career in banking before moving into the specialist area of bank note trading at American Express where I managed large teams working under tight deadlines.
After 12 years in the business I moved on to a Marketing Services Manager position within a large manufacturing company and spent the next 9 years enjoying the challenges of new product launches, a busy exhibition calendar and marketing a large range of commercial cooking, bakery, ice cream and healthcare products.
After managing staff for 20 years I decided to jump the fence and moved into the world of recruitment working for a local agency and enjoyed the challenge of finding the right fit for various clients needs.
Since starting iPlace Recruitment, I have had the opportunity to work with an awesome team. We are really grateful for the network of clients we have who have the same values as us. We take a no nonsense approach and believe that good, bad or ugly – honesty is always the best policy. Yes, this can be awkward at times but at least you know with us, what you see is what you get.

When you are a born organiser who loves helping people, your career tends to head into the area of business support and, in 2000, that is how my first foray into recruitment began. I spent two years at a firm in Parramatta supporting a team of six consultants and managing the office and admin team, I learnt so much about building successful recruiting relationships through great communication, listening to a client’s needs and perhaps more importantly being honest and real.
I then spent the next 15 years building my career across various business support divisions (Marketing, Sales, HR, Legal & Logistics) in several industries including medical devices and document solutions. This experience was invaluable as it gave me a comprehensive understanding of so many areas of corporate business and helped me gain valuable insight into building business relationships.
In early 2017, I contacted iPlace Recruitment, looking for a new opportunity / challenge. After meeting with the team, I was struck by the way they differentiated themselves in the industry, especially in the care they show for both candidates and clients equally. I am so excited to now be a part of a company that shows so much integrity but also knows how to have fun along the way.
