I began my recruitment career back in 1999 when I joined a large firm based in Parramatta. Throughout my time there I was exposed to both temp and perm recruitment and mainly focused on accounting and finance related roles due to my background with Westpac and Bank of America.
Upon returning from maternity leave with my first daughter I then moved over to help establish a new office based in Chatswood.
After moving on and having my second daughter I joined a local agency based in The Hills District. After 5 years as a Senior Consultant and working across a huge variety of industries and positions I realised I was definitely a generalist recruiter having formed great relationships with clients who then wanted my assistance across the board when it came to staff recruitment. On any given day I could be working on a Financial Controller role and then asked to find an Executive Assistant for the CEO.
After taking a break and having a bit of an epiphany, iPlace Recruitment was born. With over 15 years experience within the industry and after years of people asking why I have never gone out on my own, I decided the stars were definitely aligned and I’ve been lucky enough to join forces with two
fantastic women in Amanda Burns and Kylie White. Together I think we have an unbeatable
combination of recruitment, marketing & sales experience.

I started my career in banking before moving into the specialist area of bank note trading at American Express where I managed large teams working under tight deadlines.
After 12 years in the business I moved on to a Marketing Services Manager position within a large manufacturing company and spent the next 9 years enjoying the challenges of new product launches, a busy exhibition calendar and marketing a large range of commercial cooking, bakery, ice cream and healthcare products.
After managing staff for 20 years I decided to jump the fence and moved into the world of recruitment working for a local agency and enjoyed the challenge of finding the right fit for various clients needs.
Since starting iPlace Recruitment, I have had the opportunity to work with an awesome team. We are really grateful for the network of clients we have who have the same values as us. We take a no nonsense approach and believe that good, bad or ugly – honesty is always the best policy. Yes, this can be awkward at times but at least you know with us, what you see is what you get.

My sales and account management career began shortly after I left the NSW Police Force after 5 years of service. I then joined DATS as a Sales Executive where I managed large accounts such as Woolworths & Corporate Express. After leaving DATS to go on maternity leave with my first daughter I rejoined the workforce continuing to work in the same industry on National Accounts in Sales and Marketing.
I have a strong sales, account management and business development background and have always been customer service focused. Throughout my career I have always been responsible for the recruitment of the staff that I needed.
I am now fortunate enough to utilize my skills and have seized the opportunity in bringing to life iPlace Recruitment which enables us to fuse our existing skills and knowledge to offer a recruitment experience that so often falls short of client expectations.
